Locally bred honey bee nucs for sale

Honey bees for sale

Many beekeepers are becoming increasingly concerned about the ever-increasing importation of bees and queens.
The trade in foreign bees brings with it the possibility of introducing pests, diseases and pathogens, aggression in subsequent generations and the unsuitability of the bees to our fickle climate.

We raise new queens from our best colonies. We aim to produce as near as possible, dark, locally adapted bees, selected for good temperament, survivability and honey production.

See here for how to transfer your nuc to a full size hive.

  3. Hi Neil,
Difficultly is I have a flowhive and they are Langstroth frames. I have transferred bees previously but takes 12months.....however, yes am interested. You did say you would be happy to meet half way. Easier for both of us if early morning or late afternoon. Let me know. Thanks Gill

  4. Hi Neil,
my new bees from you have settled in nicely. The queen is excellent and she is laying perfect brood frames, the hive is getting stronger each day and has to be seen to be believed. The temperament of her colony is very placid and easy to handle. The nuc is expanding at a tremendous rate and is producing lots of capped honey stores already. I would recommend your bees to anyone wishing to keep strong healthy good temperament bees.
I will be placing an order for more of your nucs when they are available again
    Thank you so much Lee

  5. Lee,
Thank you for letting me know, I'm glad that they are doing well and behaving. Fingers crossed they'll cope with your altitude over the winter.
    Thanks again and good luck.

  6. Hi Neil, are the nucs suitable for Langstroth frames?

These are on BS frames. There are ways to transfer between frame formats but it’s probably easier to source a Langstroth nuc.
